We know that starting from a very early age, every parent should teach their children to treasure literacy. eBooks are not like cartoons, fast moving images and loud music telling a story with 2 dimensional characters. eBooks are slow paced; they let children think and imagine, fill in the blanks. Busy parents can utilize narrated stories to help facilitate phonemic awareness in their children throughout the busy day as they shop, cook, and help other siblings with their homework. You can choose to pause the audio at any time to discuss details of the storybook, practice pronouncing challenge words, and look at the pictures.

Wow! I never even thought of this. What a great idea. These read aloud books will come in handy at the airport when we are traveling with the kids. We have tablets and buying eBooks on Amazon or Barnes and Nobel is expensive. The quality of some of these isn’t as great as the paid ones, but some of these are surprisingly very good.
