Looking for homemade Easter candy crafts to do with your family? Our friends at Surf Sweets recently sent us a little sample box of their organic non GMO candies. Of course I wanted to wait until Easter to open the packages because our house is on a strict no sugar diet for Lent. Having a box full of Surf Sweets laying around the place really heightens the temptation. The kids were going nuts looking at the box. We’ve got a week to go before lent is over. Against my better judgement I cracked the seal and sat down with my youngest son. Together we came up with some fun Easter candy crafts.
Our favorite creation is a gummy bunny candy craft made with watermelon rings, jelly beans, and gummy worms. We love Surf Sweets candy. It’s a local Chicago area business that takes pride in offering Sweets that are not loaded with all the toxic junk we’ve become so accustomed to in the U.S.

And of course, we couldn’t eat our Easter candy crafts just yet. We’ve got a week to go before Easter. So he and I tucked his creations away in a ziploc bag. He’s counting down the days until he can eat them.
How to Make our Easter Candy Bunny Craft
Each of our bunny Easter candy crafts needs two gummy worms, three watermelon rings, and 7 jelly beans. You’ll also need toothpicks and a pair of scissors on hand. We stabbed the candies with toothpicks to keep them together as we assembled our bunnies. Then we cut off the excess parts of the toothpicks as needed so they didn’t show. My 7 year old had no problems assembling his bunny. It’s a good food craft for kids that doesn’t require a lot of parental supervision. You can easily make 2 or 3 bunnies with just one of each kind of these candies.
