Small Object Sandwich Wrap

I remember hearing with shock that as a kid, my mom had to wrap her sandwiches in, get this — waxed paper! Not only did they not have Ziplocks, they didn’t even have Baggies!

In my search for a better solution to plastic I ran across a really cool craft idea that solves the problem of wasting money on bags that you only use once and helps out the environment too.

The Small Object blog has posted a terrific little tutorial with detailed directions on how to sew your own reusable sandwich wrap.

I love not only the reduction in disposables, but the fact that the wrap opens up to serve as a placemat, making your lunch on the go that much more pleasant.

Hey Elaine,
I found an ‘e’ store that sells them for $6.95 ea. plus shipping and handling for anyone interested in the idea but just not too crafty….
I realize that you could make them a whole heck of a lot cheaper if you sew.
