San-J Tamari Lite Soy Sauce Recipes: Easy Grilled Chicken and More

A bottle of the brand new San-J Tamari Lite was recently sent to us for review last week. This new product from San-J contains 50% less sodium than the regular gluten free Tamari sauce. I love anything San-J, because they are a non GMO verified brand. Non GMO soy sauce is hard to find, especially one that is also gluten free. San-J has had a gluten free non GMO soy sauce on the market for years. But recently they’ve expanded their line with a newer version for folks on a low sodium diet. We tried it with our own favorite grilled chicken recipe yesterday. The new San-J Tamari Lite was every bit as good as the original. We didn’t miss the sodium one bit.
I like easy, especially on a hot summer day. The folks at San-J sent us a few sample recipes to try their new product out with, but I decided to use my own. The summer is hectic in our house. Dinner has to be fast and easy.  I prepared a simple grilled chicken with honey and San-J Tamari Lite sauce, a summer vegetable medley, and boiled potatoes.

Grilled Chicken with Honey and San-J Tamari Lite Non GMO Soy Sauce

Make an easy low sodium summer recipe tonight: Grilled Chicken with Honey and San-J Tamari Lite Soy Sauce

Grilled Chicken with Honey and San-J Tamari Lite Soy Sauce

Ingredients for Grilled Chicken w/Honey & San-J Tamari Lite:

1 package of chicken (I used tenderloin, but whole chicken pieces is just fine too).

For the Sauce

4 Tablespoons San-J Tamari Lite non GMO soy sauce

2 Tablespoons honey (we buy organic local grown).

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions for Grilled Chicken w/Honey & San-J Tamari Lite:

Pre-heat your grill and set the temperature to medium low. Place your chicken on the grill for about 10 minutes. Turn your pieces and grill for at least an additional 5 minutes (if you are grilling boneless skinless).  Cooking time will vary depending on the chicken pieces and oven temperature. The internal temperature of the breast needs to be between 160-180 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a cooking brush, gently rub about half of the sauce on the chicken pieces when they are 75% cooked. Turn the chicken after about 5 minutes and brush the other side with Honey and San-J Tamari Lite Sauce. Remove from grill and enjoy!
