I am always very impressed with how knowledgeable they are about their products and how thorough the site is about by-products and sources. Not all their allergy friendly products are corn-free but I am confident that the ones they claim are safe truly are safe. (more…)

Decadent Gluten-free Brownies Made with Dark Chocolate

Brownie

These moist, cake-like Brownies are not overly sweet. I used fructose sugar (which I’m told is always derived from corn these days). But if you are not corn-free, I think it is a good replacement for standard refined sugar. I used Baker’s brand chocolate in my version but there are several casein-free brands out there like Elite (which is a Kosher product that is also soy-free), Enjoy Life (GF, CF, MF, soy and Nut free), and Tropical Source (which is also found at Whole Foods and is vegan too).The entire dish takes under an hour to prepare and probably even less to polish off because they are so delicious. This recipe is only gluten-free as listed but can be modified to be dairy and corn-free as well with a few suggested substitutions. (more…)

Nana's Cookies - Vegan Cookies with No Refined Sugar

Nana’s Cookies offers a wide variety of products to choose from. They claim all of their gluten-free products are also corn-free. Their no-wheat cookies are corn-free as well but contain gluten from barley and oats. Nana’s has confirmed via email message that their aluminum-free baking powder ingredients are not made with cornstarch.


Enjoy Life ProductsEnjoy Life products are made in a dedicated nut- and gluten-free bakery. They are specially formulated and tested (based on product) to ensure that they are free of corn protein. Some of their products do contain xanthan gum, which may cause reactions in some corn-allergic people. Please read the labels before you buy.

Larabar ProductsLÄRABAR® is a blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. Made from 100% whole food, each flavor contains no more than 2-6 ingredients. They’re made from non-GMO ingredients, are kosher, vegan, gluten, & corn free.
