Mayo Clinic has Developed the new Research Field: Vaccinomics
Interested in doing a delayed vaccine schedule with your doctor? You are not alone. According to a Fox News report, many parents are now asking for a delayed vaccine schedule. Worried about adverse reactions from vaccines? You may have interest in a new kind of vaccination schedule. Also known as personalized vaccines, vaccinomics uses patient genetics to personalize vaccines based on genetic risk factors. Since 2008 Vaccine research by doctors at the Mayo Clinic has been including this new field of research: vaccinomics. Experts hope to utilize genetic testing to find out which patients are most at risk of getting a particular disease and who will benefit from a personalized vaccine.
